Cultural Night
27th August 2003 (Friday). The SARC of APIIT organised an event called "Multicultural Night", a night where everyone will be wearing their own culture customs. The event started at 7.30pm with the arrival of the guests followed by fashion show, cultural dance performance and so forth. There were freebies for the early birds – a package of shower foams and shampoo. Foods were also served during dinner.
Our last class ended at 3.40pm that day so 5 of us drove 2 cars to a classmates’ place at Sentul Timur and expected to arrive back at college by 8.30pm. But due unforeseen circumstances we arrived at 9pm. We didn’t manage to have dinner so we had supper after the event.
The event was well organised and fully sponsored by the college and advertisement from various companies. The place was very packed when we arrived. Hardly could find any parking nearby. Quite some numbers of classmates attended and some of us wore our traditional customs. There were Batik, Cheong Sam, Sari, Baju Kurung, and many more. I was wearing a traditional custom from Cambodia (the one in yellow) (not my traditional custom anyway). Of course some wore plan casual attire.
