First week of holidays
Holidays has just begun. Not exactly if you would ask me. Counting from the buffer week until my holidays ends, it will be 7 weeks altogether. Those included 1 week of buffer, 1 week of study leave, 2 weeks of exams and 3 weeks of holidays.
To be honest, I’m not enjoying my holidays like I used to. I’ve signed up for Technical Assistant a month ago and now I’m a trainee and am required to complete a minimum of 60 hours (within 1 and a half month) of hands on training (not including workshop). Allowances of RM75 will be given to us upon completing the required hours. Those who failed to complete the minimum hours will have a slimmer chance of being qualify. Then after the duration, an in course test will be given to test our learning level – how well we understand the role of a Technical Assistant.
Being a Technical Assistant is nothing compared to a Librarian. Of course both roles are created to serve the welfare of students. As a Technical Assistant, there are much to learn such as PCs maintenance, quality check, ghosting, setting up PCs for cooperate training and the list go on. After a while, it can be a daily routine. I hate daily routine. I prefer to do different thing each day. When problems occur, it would be a challenge to solve them.
Besides that, I managed to make lots of new friends – weird ones, mean ones, shy ones, playful ones, nice ones, friendly ones, sweet ones, flirty ones and etc.
On yesterday’s meeting (Wednesday), the lab chief appointed a guy and I to organise a dinner gathering that will be held somewhere in December. Being the first time to organise an event like this, I’m absolutely clueless on how to go about doing it. It’s not easy to get everyone to agree with the plan and we can’t give in to everyone either.

Forgot to mention that your male TA mentor is drop dead gorgeous?
Hahahaha!
There're always two sides to a story :)
Oh and I forgot about to mention about the dinner.
Keep the cost as low as possible, please :P
I'm broke.
Hehe.. To be honest, I just realised that none of the TA guys are as drop dead gorgeous as I thought they were. :P
About the dinner, I managed to call up some restaurants the other day and got some really good deal. Found a restaurant that can offer buffet set for RM30.00++ per person. I will probably drop by to check out the place before reporting back to my TA chief on Wednesday. For the time being, I still got to do some research for other alternative place. Hopefully can get some staffs to sponsor a small sum too. ;)
That's hurting and pinching from the bottm of my heart. honestly, i do think there are lots of macho guys here
Nah, this is a personal gathering dinner. It's unlikely that any staff will sponsor, considering that they themselves need to pay for their own share.
Woah.. 30++.. there goes my 1 and a half slot again..
LOL..
Is RM30.00++ too expensive? It's just a once a year thing. But if they are considering an outing trip, then you got save up RM100+ or more for that. Haha...
I still think the best thing is to do "potluck" at someone's place that is big enough to fit 30-40 people.
For people like me, RM30++ is plenty...
You'll be surprised of how many birthday celebrations I have attended to on this particular month.
It's murderous.
Potluck sounds good, but looking for someone who would be willing to lend his/her place for such an event would be tough.
Anyhow, keep me updated :)
