KL Bird Park
Early that morning, my boyfriend and I went to KL Bird Park (it is known as “The World Largest Covered Bird Park”) for photo shooting. We arrived there at 9 and it opened a minute later. Entrance fee for adult is RM12 (not too sure about the fee for children, probably half price). Fish food were sold for RM0.50 to feed the fish in the park.
We spent nearly 2 hours in the park taking photos. Most of the photos that I took didn’t turn out that well because I’m using an ordinary digital camera. While my boyfriend was photo shooting using his Canon EOS-10D with a super lens (70-200mm f2.8 telephoto zoom).
In the covered area, some birds were moving freely. The birds are well fed and the place is well maintained compared to Malacca’s Zoo. The birds are taken care of when they are sick.
The weather was good that day, not that hot. But we got bitten by lots of mosquito. Overall the trip was fun. The last time I visited was with mum, during my primary school days.

These birds are placed at the entrance to greet visitors. They can imitate human speech but do not understand human language. So don’t expect them to respond.

Lovely peacocks. They were moving freely all over. Didn't manage to catch any with their tail unfolded

This parrot was placed under the sun to dry after a shower.

Japanese Carp. They looked pretty hungry.

Some long beaked bird. Big, tall, with a long beak. Haggard looking. Does it look like a statue to you? It’s a real bird. This bird nearly bit me when I tried to touch it. Not sure what it’s called.

Doesn’t it look like the owl from the movie “Harry Potter”? I somehow managed to get close enough to take this shot. It was pretty tame. It was standing under the sun to dry its feathers.
It looks so adorable! :)

This bird was also standing under the sun to dry its feathers. A close relative of the Taucan.

I ought to visit the place some time.
Lovely birds.
Yup. But be prepared to get bitten by mosquito. Hehe... Don’t forget to bring your camera as well. :)
Of course!
Otherwise there wouldn't be a purpose of being there!
