Exotic Pet

An iguana was found wondering around at my dearest front yard somewhere last year. It was about 2 feet when both of his brothers found it. We think that the iguana belongs to someone else since it was well fed and tame. It’s definitely can’t be from the wild. Or maybe it could be.

This iguana ended up being their pet because no one came to claim it. They did not know what to call it, so they just name it Igy, a short term for iguana.

After months of caring and feeding, the iguana has now grown as long as 4 feet, slightly less. An iguana this size can worth up to RM600+ or even more, depending on its size.

Iguana is an exotic pet and its required lots of care. It can be costly to rare a species like this because it required proper diet and UVB lights or natural sunlight to digest its food. Iguana does not bite because it is 100% vegetarian.

I think Igy look very distinguish. Don't you agree?

I think Igy is just slightly over 2 feet long, including the tail. I think. He's getting bigger. He'll probably outgrow his 140cm high cage soon. Maybe he already has. Keeping a big animal in a small cage is such a cruel thing to do.

Iguana's do bite when they feel threatened. Other than that, they also have long sharp claws and a very strong tail which they can use to whip around. Seriously.

Exotic pets are high-maintenance animals. I personally do not recommend that anyone get themselves any pet before first doing a bit of research to find out how and what's required to take care of the animal.
