Pasta Fredo

I dropped by my dearest's place after attending Technical Assistant General Board Meeting which ended at 7pm. By the time I arrived at his place, he had already taken his dinner, but he accompanied me for my dinner anyway. We ate at Pasta Fredo, an Italian restaurant in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. I had been looking forward to eating there since seeing their advertisement in the Calvary Easter programme booklet.

Being there reminded me of the time when I was in Italy. I miss the old days when I got to taste Italian food for free. Over there, one bottle of wine can be bought for as low as 1 Euro. Where else the cheapest wine you can get here is probably not lower than RM20. The pizza and pasta that my host mum prepared were as good as those in the local Italian restaurants. Yeah, I really miss the food.

PASTA FREDO, La Cucina Mediterranea, 14, Lorong Ibrahim Kajai 14, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, KL (Tel: 03-7710 0021). Business Hrs: Daily, lunch (Noon–2.30pm); dinner (6.30pm-11.30pm). Pork-free. A quiet and sophisticated outlet minus the price tag that comes with most gourmet restaurants. The dishes are in sizeable portions and are beautifully presented like those at swanky restaurants.
