Yesterday I received a sms from TFS Creative Co that they are sending for television commercial casting.
I got all excited and was lost for words. It was my first audition for casting. Frankly speaking, I did not put much hope on the audition. I was looking forward for the experience. I have to start somewhere, right?
Planet Films was a bungalow located at Jalan Timor. It seems like a production company where people do filming and casting. While I was waiting to be called, I met a girl who was also from TFS Creative Co. We chatted and she told me that she has been to 2 auditions but was not selected.
The casting is pretty simple. I was asked to introduce myself and do some acting in front of the camera. The lady that was recording me told me that I am very small. Maybe I’m not what they are looking for.

Right after yesterday’s Technical Assistant General Meeting, I asked my friend to accompany me to MidValley to shop for a blouse and 3 inches stiletto heels. For your information, I’ve been shopping since early of this month and now I’m seriously broke. I can’t affort to go shopping next month.

I mean that they send you to 6 grooming classes FOC & the only commitment is to finish the 6 classes..... sorry for all the questions..... i got a called by TFS too, nothing new.. asking me to go for their interview.. and it only takes 10 min. The funny thing is tt when they approached me in KLCC, i asked for their name card (coz i was in a hurry) and the gal is unable to provide a name card.. she just call me to scribble my name on a small childish note pad.
thinking about it i am quite doubtful abt it. is quite dodgy.
and after reading angie's comment. tt we need to pay make up tool tt cost us rm300-800.. (definitely is a scam) coz i watched a prog on tele and they say is a scam .. and is exactly the same scenario.. (by the way is true story)

Can this company be trusted. Frankly speaking, I'm not sure. I've heard many things from different friends. Some said they are fraud and some told me that they had done casting under them.
But I do like the fact that this company provided modelling classes which has benefited me.

The RM300-RM800 are some make-up products which they required you to buy from them because they want to standardize the shade of foundation, eye shadows (3 colours) and corrector kit. Those are the most basic items that you need to purchase, which will cost about RM300+. But true enough you will end up spending close to RM500 because you are required to buy other make-up tools such as brushes, lipstick, eye liner, lip liner, mascare, blusher and lose powder. If you're planning to purchase all their items, it may go up to RM1k.
The reason why those girls couldn't provide you their name cards it's because they are part-time talent scout. The talent scout will received RM3.50 upon each person who register with the company. That's how it work.
I can't really tell advice you on whether to sign up or not. But all I can say that, I've been through and I've gain something from it. Thought I have not call up for casting. I still think that the free trainning is worth while.

What happens if one attends 5 classes but has skipped the 6th one? And TFS didn't call back or do anything about it for more than a year already. Means the contract is expired/terminated? Or do I risk being sued by the company?

I'm not sure about what the consequences of not completing the classes. But all I know is that, one of my friends who sign the agreement did not finish the class and nothing has happened to her.

I just wanted to share with you girls and may be will give you some info regarding to TFS.
I had not completed yet the 6 course classes, until now, I still have another 2 classes to go.
Yes. you do have to buy make up branded Shades of Beverly Hills which the minimum cost of RM300. but adding to the other basic make ups tools (mascara,blusher,eye-liner, brushes) it will sum up to RM500.
in my oppinion, I do gained some benefits , (well, grooming classes for free is not that easy to achieve)

i was approached by these very unprofessional talent scouts at mid valley a few weeks ago and decided to give them my contact no. it was more of a thing i kinda did in a spur!! i was surprised that i actually got a call from the company and happily went for the interview.I was told by the person who intervied me that i had great height for advertisements and that they wanted me to attend their groomind classes. as i am underaged to sign the contract myself i han to get parental consent. my mom was a little sceptical and wanted me to do a backgroung check on the company.I went online and couldn find a single website n the company!! what kind of succesful company doesn have a website. then i got a little sceptical. I called TELEKOM to check if the company was listed and to my surprise they couldn find a telephone number for this company. my oarents didn think it was a good idea for me to sign any contracts with this company.
just a piece of advice, if u are really interested in advertising i suggest you go look for a listed advertising company..

also..last time my sis was go for a advertisement shoot...with other agencies member..TFS was the lowest pay & with doing the same thing.. lke 60/ay compared to 200/day -_-lll

They are still Calling me for jobs!I've done LOREAL HAIR show n easily 15 Fashion shows with TFS!Of cos could hv been more but i was busy with exams and work!Lots of castings!Ppl out there, u must make time to go for castings if u want2c yourself on TV!Perhaps u've seen me......i've done Kao Biore, Pantene, Nutricia Milk, Pepsi, Cadbury n etc..:D Im telling u ppl its great!!!I've also done Promotional jobs too like F1 girl, Acer and many more. all frm TFS Creative!hey, not only for ladies u know...GUYS too!My lover is in it too!He's been called 4audituons,

RM 1000 for Calender Girl! Nothing Sexy just Evening attire. I really hope i got it! hey evryone.. ive been in dis TFS for the 5th lesson.. can i just skip the six lesson..?? i luv being in grooming classes.. its just that i dun think it bring any easy 2 me.. i've to trvel everyweek just to ettend the class, which my campus is at Johore bHaru plus, when i arrive im late one hour.. n some of the lady there din't considered me AT ALL..!! ive spent RM 800++ for the makeups,which i havent plus the makeup tools..my spent to travel from JB to Kl and went back to JB..OMG!!! now i have to go for photo shoots that cost RM 200+..what the hell..?? some times ive to skip my lectures just becoz dont want to b scold in the class..(it's bttr late than never)..what if i go for the 6th class.. but i don't go 4 the photo shoots..?? i gez in d the agreement it wasn't stated aite..?? bcoz im totally zipp-out about my spending aite now..!! anyone who's a TFS student..!!! plese help me..!!!

The reason for submitting your photos is because client will have to view your profile first before selecting you for any advertisement or shoots. Without it, you won't be able to get a job because they wouldn't know how you look like.
If you think that studio shoots outside is expensive. I can refer you to my boyfriend who does freelance photography. He does on location studio shots, you can choose the location of your choice or you can go to his place where he has those plain studio backdrop. His charges are RM100 per hour. Unlimited shots delievered in CD. Clothes and make-up on your own. Feel free to view his work at www.kevinhan.net

TFS Creative is a scam! They don't even have a proper office! They just rent a small ofice at wisma goldhill. Actually this company is from singapore, they just want to sell off their make up products. Don't be fooled!!! And if you read people telling you about how long they've been with TFS Creative and had done a lot of commercials or what so ever, they're probably from the company as well.
OMG!!!!!!!!gal...TFS is a scam...is jz a way for them to earn money frm u all...if u reali shortlisted to be a model..the modelling agency will provide free trainning for u...n the make up stuff is FREE!!!!!ask more experienced model bfr u do any decision that need u spend money~dun be so fool~~gal...so sori to say tat...the course is worth???is jz a simple course onli...u will learn more frm other way but not cheat to pay the cosmetic...beware gal...modelling might be ur dream...but bkfull is not a peace world now~~tek k galssss

ermmmm..... theres no point arguing whether TFS is a scam or not....every agency has their way of doin things...im a freelance model for both runway n commercial...i was introduce to tfs by talent scout at klcc..at that time i was already a model with a famous agency. after submitting my pictures to elaine choong at tfs( i still keep her name card), they call me for a number of castings at Applebox studio, Mugshot, Cheese. as for runway, tfs is not so much on fashion show as they r more to talent agency....did 2 shows with tfs and was paid RM300 and RM1500 for different show. surprised that i actually got my payment after 1 week. im still doin freelance with other agencies but payment is either very late or never even get at all!!!! even famous and reputable ones don pay the models! surprised?! well, its really up to the person to judge.... so far i ve no complain bout tfs... :-)
oh ya, most of the time, when u go for photoshots or fashion shows, models need to do own make as not all client will provide make up artist. so definitely need proper make up...i didnt attend tfs grooming classes as i ve already attended the one by Blitz where i paid almost RM1500 fees and have to buy own make up also. im using foundation that i bought from tfs but the rest from brands used by make up academy.well, its important to equip ur self with make up knowlegde if u wanna be a successful model. its alot of things to learn, not only pretty face n good body. its about attitude, behaviour and respect for ur agent cos they r the one who get jobs for u. not surprise if u don get any job in 1 or 2 years as u may not be suitable for the photographer or directors. well, if anyone need advices to become a good model, u may email me at wyewye25@gmail.com.
Hi Girls..i accidently came across to this page n i've read that mostly all of u go to TFS Creative for modelling jobs n have to pay certain amount for the make up....i wanna share my story with u gals coz i've been in tv commercial industry for 5years as a main talent.n i did lots of tv commercials and press/print ad..i cant tell for which ad,but mostly big budget tvc's.when i was still studying b4 ,someone frm TFS approached me at Lot 10.and thy told me the same thing to attend classes n make up set 4 the price of 800 but i refused n told them i was not interested.at that time i alrdy started doing tvcs with others agencies.n normal agencies will not take money frm u but u just need to wait 4 d casting call frm them if got jobs..i think TFS just doing business to sell make up to u by telling that u can be a model n teach u basic grooming which u can get more info in beauty magazines....this is just a friendly msg to all.

im a former TFS student and i cant seem to have any castings for commercials for almost two years!i thought TFS will give me the opportunity to be in one, but they seem to only contact me once for casting, and it was a lousy one! i wish for more castings which are real professionals.
