Tears In My Heart
I’ve been carrying too much burdens, so much so that I can’t bear it any longer.
I faced pressures after recently being promoted. My assistant isn’t cooperating with me. Despite the fact that I haven not been taking duties for quite a while, I wasn’t updated on any changes or progress that took place.
I felt there’s a need to voice out. But it’s so not me to put someone down. We’ve been in the team for quite a while. I don’t wish to make enemies. But can’t my assistant make things easier for me?
I felt that I’m responsible for everything done within the department. If any of the tasks have not been carried out accordingly, I would be the first to be blame. No excuse will be entertained. Being a leader isn’t as easy as I thought it would be. Things have changed. I’m no longer in secondary school. I have to learn how to managed people as well as myself.
Many time, I felt so hopeless being questioned without knowing the answer.
At night, I would wet my pillow and pray to God that my troubles will be over by sun rise. He told me to trust in Him and that He loves me no matter what.

being a leader is not easy.. take it from me... i have taken the role of chief of TA after being the asst chief in a few months.. plus i am such a control freak and i want everything to right..
being a good leader takes time and my advice for u is take ur time and get to know ppl becoz u need ppl to be led. next voice ur opinion when u need to.. (u need to listen to ppl and make ppl listen and follow what u say)
u must also learn how to delegate ur work.. remember delegate delegate delegate becoz at the end of the day it benefits u...

Delegate eh. That's the one thing I was always told to do, but never really did, back when I was team lead of college project groups.
Hey Amelia. Thanks for your comforting advice. You're very understanding. I guess it takes a girl to understand what another girl is going through. :)
Well, if ever all the other things seem out of proportion, just remember this... a leader is someone who inspires everyone to think that he or she is right, not someone who tries to prove everyone else wrong.
