KLCC Aquaria + KL Sky Bridge

First week of holiday right after our finals, we set a day for KL tour. It wasn't exactly a KL tour because the places we visited were only within KLCC. The hardest part wasn't organising the trip but to gather people to go. Not many may be willing to spend since we will be going to Redang Island the following week.

We planned to meet up as early as 9am but ended up I was the earliest and had to call my friends to ensure they are on the way. Part of our plan was to visit the KL Sky Bridge and Aquaria. To avoid any disappointment, I went to the sky bridge counter after I arrived to get free passes. One of my friends did not tell me that her boyfriend is coming so we only collected 6 passes instead of 7. The queue was very long when I arrived and it makes me wonder what time did those people start queuing up. It's madness. My other friends arrived 15 to 30 minutes after. At least I had someone to accompany and talk to while waiting in the line. Waited almost an hour to reach the counter and we managed to grab whole on a 1.30pm tickets.

After that we had our breakfast Burger King Restaurant before heading to Aquaria. It was Independent Day eve, so there was a promotion price of RM20 flat rate for both children and adult. Aquaria located below Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC). It's only 5 to 10 minutes walk from Suria KLCC. We spent 1 to 2 hours strolling inside Aquaria just to ensure our RM20 was worth the spending. I was expecting varies kinds of fishes but they wasn't many. There were reptiles and insects too. We left the place after bored of seeing the same things over and over again. One of my friends told me that the Aquaria at Langkawi Island is much cheaper and have more things to see compared to the one we went. There was a souvenir shop right before the exit. Find it so silly that in order to get to the shop one has to visit the whole Aquaria, unlike Petronas Science. So dumb.

An hour before heading for KL Sky Bridge, we walk around the Convention Center and played with the escalator which as a censor at both ends. The escalator was programmed in the way that it only starts moving on a normal speed once it sensor any movement. In this matter it helps save power on escalator. It was kind of funny until the security guards had to guard the escalator to avoid us from passing through it again. Later then, we had lunch at the food court.

Next, we went up to KL Sky Bridge and our last stop for the day was Petronas Art Gallery. Overall all of us enjoyed ourselves as well as the fellowship we had. Should organise a short trip like this once a while. :)

The queue was really long. Look at the people lining up before the counter. It's madness!

Having lunch at Burger King before heading to Aquaria.

Heard that the fish was 6 feet long.

Managed to took this while entering the aquaria tunnel. The guy was cleaning the tank.

That's me in action. Haha... ;p

At the souvinir shop before the exit. The things the sell are way too pricy. So, think twice before buying.

This is what happened when the Petronas Twin Tower is being hint by a lightning. It's just a model, by the way.

Multicultural Night II

APIIT organised its very own 2nd Multicultural night and everyone are expected to wear their own culture costume. One of the programmes planned by the multicultural committees was a fashion show. I was asked by a friend to do a cat walk in a national costume. Seriously it was my first time and I got stage fright. At the same time, I felt like a super star walking down the aisle with people on both side looking at me. Haha... What an experience.

There were 2 lectures to help us with the make-up. And it turned out that some of the make-up done by them was rather too loud or out of shape. Luckily I know to put on my own my own make-up; else I would probably look like a ghost. LOL. Hey, I'’m serious!

Lecture putting make-up for students. She's pretty good at it but tend to over do it though.

Practising our cat walk before the show.

Apparently, they are both part time models. :)

I'm wearing a Vietnamese costume. Bought it long time ago at Central Market before going to Italy. The costume was a little big for me because I had lost some weight compared to back then.

Dad's Convocation

My dad has finally completed his Masters in Business Law and graduated from International Islamic University Malaya (IIUM). My mum and I attended dad's convocation on a Sunday morning. IIUM was half an hour drive from Cheras. English is used as medium of instruction within the university, thus attract numbers of foreign students to study in IIUM.

The huge hall. I think it's gorgeous. :)

Wedding Ceromony

My dearest was offered to photograph his colleague's wedding on a Saturday morning. I tagged along for the shoot, for I have not been to a Catholic wedding ceremony. I also got to know his some of his colleagues. Yeah, they are one bunch of friendly people. His immediate supervisor was there too (from the baptism).

Look, Rainbow!

It was raining during the evening. I was driving home from my friend's place and I noticed a rainbow.

Seem like lately I've been taking lots of photos while driving. :P

Beautiful, isn't it? God's creations are always beautiful. ;)

Study, Study, Study...

I took these pictures while my friends were revising their studies. Notice I seldom appear in pictures, this is because I’m the photographer. Hehe...

Hey, I was there revising with them too.

Look at the guy yawning. Seem like he wasn't interested in her teaching. Hehe...

Celebrated Steph's Birthday

Yesterday was Stephanie's birthday. We only got to celebrate her birthday few minutes after her birthday. Haha... We drove to Sentul to pick up a friend and went to a nearby restaurant. It wasn't just another restaurant, it was extraordinary. The place has a village environment, plus a tree house. :) Not sure what the name of that place, but it sure a lovely place to dine in, especially during special occasion.

He's such a poser.

Feeding the birthday girl cheery.

The birthday cake. I like the way they arrange the candles. Haven't anything like it before. I find it rather unique. :)

A Games Of Cards, Anyone?

I stayed over at my friend’s place after group studies in the morning. We played cards after dinner and added a bottle of alcohol to spice up the game. Whoever loses will have to drink half glass of alcohol. I was so unlucky that I had to drink 2 full glasses of it. Though there's only 15% alcohol contain in the white wine, I got knock off after my last glass. It was too much for me to handle until I vomited. I can never drink. I only do this once in a long time. Never thought it could be that serious. The most I just got knock off and get rashes the following day. Haha...

Noticed my face look red here. I only had one glass when this picture was taken.

Look at those bottles. It's madness! By the way, he's just posing, not drinking.

Group Studies At Sri Petaling

One week before final exams, my friends and I group up at Emily's place for group studies. Her place is just few kilometers from college and it's convenient for everyone to travel because all of us came from different places (Cheras, Puchong, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Sri Petaling.)

We met up at Emily's place around 10 in the morning and drove to a near by restaurant for breakfast. We had dim sum and it was enough to last us until dinner, except for those big eaters. Haha...

Over at Emily's place, we did some exercises and managed to cover some topics for Quantitative Methods. On the other hand, some people got nothing better to do and decided to play a prank on our classmates using one of our friend’s MSN account. Luckily no one got angry after what happened. We all had our laugh after revealing ourselves through the web cam. :P

Baptism

Attended a baptism at St. Xavier church. Was my dearest's colleague's daughter baptism. It was my first time attending a Catholic baptism.

This is how the church looks like on the inside.

Photo Session - Ringo

This lovely lady is a full time student and does modelling on part-time basis. I get to know her during the photo session. She's a fun person altogether, easy going and ever cheerful. More pictures of her can be found here.

*Cough* ~ Hazzzze

Kuala Lumpur was having bad haze for the last few days. It was SO BAD that I rather lie asleep in peace than suffocate myself to death alive.

Haha... Just kidding. ;P

The following pictures was taken at random places I went.

SYL Camera Service

In the afternoon, I followed my dearest to Plaza Pudu to get his new lens. This shop buys and sells camera equipments. The prices are quite reasonable too.

It's Iggy Again...

Saw Iggy at this weird position, the quickly snap some pictures of him. He looks cute here.

*Bluek*
What are you looking at!

Audition - Wrigley's College Icon

Since launching the Idol reality show, I’ve been seeing more of this around and the most recent one is the Nescafe Kick Start. Many companies such are giving away cash and contracts for potential singers and bands.

The grand price for Wrigley’ College Icon will walk away with RM12, 000 worth of scholarship. Wow. That's a lot.

Oh yeah, Vince from Akademi Fantasia was there too. He sang 3 songs.

Look, it's Vince from Akademi Fantasia.

TV3 was there as well. See the tall guy over there, that's the camera man.

Hazy day. Can practically see the haze from this picture.

Wake Up, Sleepy Head

Right before lecture starts, one of my friends was taking a nap on the table. So I went up and tickle him but there was no respond. He was practically in dreamland. So I took out my camera and snap few photos of him sleeping.

Hehe... I know. I got nothing better to do.

Walking closer...

Saw his spectacles were lying on the table. Took his spectacles and place them on top of his head.

Hey look, it’s Mr. Hairy.

Then saw his pencil case. Place it beside Mr. Hairy.

Hmmm... Still doesn't look good. Then I took out a blue pen from his pencil case.

Wow. Look that that hairy face.

Awww... Mr. Hairy looks so cute with the bunny ears.

Side view of Mr. Hairy.

** Note: No one was harm when this photos was taken. Really.

"Pisang Tanduk"

My Nigerian classmate had been asking me to find "pisang tanduk" (not sure what it called in English) for him. It's understandable if foreigners do not enjoy Malaysian food. I have to agree to a certain extend that Malaysian food can be unhealthy because they are spicy, oily and salty. My classmate told me that, back in Nigeria they eat "pisang tanjuk" with rice. I don't know how it tastes like but that’s what they eat in Nigeria.

Seriously, this is my first time seeing such a big banana. Look at the size. It is four times bigger than the one we usually eat.

Photo Shoot - Strawberries

Close-ups of strawberries and lips. This was shot using micro lens. You can practically see every single detail on the large version. We went to buy strawberries and jam for this session. The strawberries were pretty costly. Nevertheless, the photo turns out pretty good. :)

By the way, the red lipstick belongs to my mum. I will never buy such red lipstick. No way.

Glossy lips with strawberries advertisement? ;p

Behind-the-scene shot.

Ice Hockey

My dearest and I were walking around the mall after attending M&M Battle of the Band. Saw some people practicing ice hockey. So we went closer to take some snapshots.

M&M Battle of the Band

M&M Battle of the Band was held at Sunway Pyramid from 7pm onwards. I read my cousin’s blog that his band had made into the finals and at the same time a friend of mind from Altered Frequency was one of the judges of the event. Aside from performance from the finalist, they were also performance from Altered Frequency, Juwita Sowito and etc.

I went to Sunway Pyramid with my dearest after my last class. We only hang around for about an hour and then we left.

Borange.

Altered Frequency

More photos can be found at Kevin’s website.

Preliminary Rounds - Battle It Out (battle of the bands)

They were preparing for the audition at 5pm. I took some snapshots just before lecture starts.

I have to admit that the sound system at APIIT is really bad. This is because the place is not built for concerts.

I did not stay to watch the event because I had to rush to Pyramid for M&M Battle of the Band at 7pm.

Revision + Kajang Sate

Yesterday we planned to gather at one of our classmates’ place for group studies. There were 7 of us that include 3 of the housemates and me. We met up at our classmates’ apartment around 10 and went to a nearby "mamak" for breakfast. This is the first our so-called successful group discussion after few cancellations.

Mind you, that's my half eaten "roti telur". ;P

----------

After breakfast, one of my friends volunteered to prepare lunch. So we drove to Carrefour to get some grocery for lunch. We bought pasta, tomatoes sauce, meat, drinks and etc. For your information, the guys did most of the cooking while we girls sat down and did mathematics.

----------

After half an hour, lunch was ready.

Mmmm... Not too bad.
Yeah, those guys can cook. ^_^

After our meal, we had a break and played a game. We were playing missed calls and the person’s phone that rang got to guess who called. If anyone of us can’t guess who the caller is, we were forfeited to drink the vodka and eat the remaining spaghetti. At the same time, there was a risk of losing credit if we failed to get through. LOL. What a silly game. Well, we had fun.

----------

After that, we did some revision and exercises.

Some were studying at the dining table.

Some preferred to lie on the bed while studying.

And eventually ended up dozing off in his comfort zone. LOL. ;P

----------

We studies until 7.30pm and leave for Sate Kajang at HJ. Samuri for dinner. 3 other college mates joined us for sate as well.

The sates there were really good especially if you eat it with the sauce.

We played another silly game over dinner. It involved some mathematics. It goes like this. Everyone was supposed to say a number continuous without saying any number with ‘7’ or can be divided with ‘7’. Else will be forfeited to take a scoop of the sate sauce with “sambal”.

Yeah, it was crazy.

I ended up with a stomach ache after few rounds of losing.:(
