Filming for Japanese Ad

Last night I was called up by my talent agent that today there will be a filming in the morning. All I was asked to do was to stand in position for them to do framing. It's a Japanese ad and the celebrity herself had been filmed using a green background and the Japan production team flew down to Malaysia to film the background (to merge with the ad).

I had to wake up 4am in the morning to meet them and the shoot only ended at 2.30pm. I was exhausted by the end of the day. It wasn't that bad because I wasn't required to do much. At the same time I did earn myself a small sum and get to meet some really interesting people. But most of all, it’s the experience that counts.

My talent agent told me that she sent 2 talent profiles to the filming company and I got chosen because of my small frame. Where else the other talent met the height requirement but did not have the body shape. Lucky me. :P

It was only 5am when we arrived.

They made me stand on an apple box because I was short. LOL.

The Japan production team are one bunch of friendly people. They really know what they are doing.

I stood there while they adjusted the lightings. The dress was slightly loose for me that they had to use a safety pin to tighten it.

He's the local production team. Was there to observed and help out. If I'm not mistaken, his name was Alex.

Kim, also from the local production team.

This is Olivia. She does all the planning and scheduling.

Meet the boss, Andy.

And she's from Argentina. :)

One of the guy from the Japan production team. He's really fun and frindly.

New Hair Do

It's been a while since I wanted a new hair do. I wanted it highlighted, I wanted it curled I wanted coloured. And finally, I decided to take a bold step to make a change. In my heart I was telling me not to take a risk after seeing 3 of my classmates curled their hair. I was worry that I may look older or the style may not suit me.

What happened was, my hair is naturally straight and I have not done any major thing to my hair except lighting my hair a year ago. I did my hair at Eco Hair And Beauty Academy at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. The curl only lasted for few days, so I went back to the salon and the boss was kind enough to redo my hair again for free.

Met A 6'9'' Tall American

I met up with my old friend that returns from Singapore for a week break. He bought home an American friend who was studying at Singapore under an exchange student programme.

Guess how tall he is? He is 6 feet 9 inches tall. You better believe it. He's so tall that I had to look up to him all the time. He was a really cool guy and enjoys Malaysian food too. :)

I should have gotten a picture with him if I did not leave my digital camera at my friend’s place. Arrg...!

He Is French

It was a Sunday. My dearest was busy photographing a wedding and I had a whole day to myself. I went out with a friend, a French guy. He’s a really nice person, has been living in Malaysia for almost a year. The coolest thing about him is that he is taking Mandarin classes. He also knows his way around KL. I'm pretty amazed.

Photo Session - Brian

A model requested my dearest to build his portfolio to be submitted to modelling agencies. I attended the photo session (as usual) and helped him with his make-up. It was my first time putting on make-up for someone. Quite interesting and I think I did an okay job with it. Not that I'm some expert or anything.

His intention was to show off his muscle and abs, so most of the shots were topless. Hey, only topless. NO nude, okay.

The model himself and I.
Hey, I don't get to take picture with a model that often.

TA Gathering

The Technical Assistant Team had a gathering at Vista Commonwealth C. As you know, we are always busy with work and this is an opportunity to fellowship and has fun with one another. Not everyone was presents due to the last minute planning and some has other plans.

We had barbeque, homemade food, games and prize giving. There was a pool within the compound and everyone was too busy dragging people one by one into the pool that they couldn’t bother to play other games. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Trying To Be Young Again ^_^

My friend and I stayed over at a friend’s place at Arena Green before leaving to Kedah. We were still awake at 1pm and decided to take a walk to Vista Commonwealth to surprise a friend.

Later that on the way back to Arena Green, we hanged around at the playground and took some candid shots.

I think it's fun to be young again. Once a while lah...

Trying to pull off a scene but it didn't work out.

Noticed the guy hanging on the pillar. LOL...

PIZZA!!!

It's been a while since I last had pizza. My classmates were having holidays at the moment and some of my Technical Assistant friends were having night duty. So, I suggested that we have dinner together. There were few Dominos pizza promotion vouchers lying in the lab and decided that have pizza for dinner instead. I went back right after my last shift and bought 4 large pizzas for 7 at Dominos's Taman Conaught outlet (which is the nearest to my place). Then I drove straight to my friend's place which is few kilometers from college.

Photo Session - Group

Another photo session arranged with my college mate with his 2 other friends. But it turned out to be a group shoot with 4 person involved. It was pretty hard and tiring for both my dearest and I because we had to get the best angle out of the models as well as setting the lightings for difference scene. The whole shoot last for 6 hours. Man, we were exhausted at the end of the day.

Class Trip To Redang Island (3rd Day)

Our last day at Redang Island and we had a jet to caught at 9am because the bus that was book will be leaving at 1pm. Which means we got to leave right after breakfast. We woke up slightly early today just to catch a glimpse of the sun rise. What happened was our cameras were foggy because it was kept in the air conditional room where we slept. The lens was blurry and we had to try to keep it warm before the sun rise. Only towards the last minute the lens was clear again.

After that we got to rush to pack our luggage because it was almost 7am and out jet will be arriving at 9am to pick us all up.

Sigh. Another one hour of sick journey back to the main land. All of us did not had enough rest, so we slept in the jet.

Some photos taken during our lunch break before heading to the bus station at 1pm.

Bye bye Redand Island. We will be heading to Kuala Lumpur in 8 hours time. Overall, we all had a great time. Basically is to have fun and enjoy followship among ourselves.

Class Trip To Redang Island (2nd Day)

Today is our last day before going back to KL. Part of our holiday package includes 3 snorkelling and we only managed to go twice since time do not forbid. Today we went to Marie Park for snorkelling and the place was so much nicer compared to the place we went yesterday. There were more fishes and corals. The best part was that one of my friends bought a pack of bread to feed the fishes and you can see a group of swimming towards you for food. I also saw few big and long ones. Of course not all of my friends went because they were tired from staying up late the day before. Sigh. They missed the opportunity. Oh well...

After snorkelling, we took a dive in the swimming pool. Since today will be last day for us all, we just make use of the time we had.

In the afternoon, we were supposed to go jungle tracking in the island but it started to rain after that and had to cancel the trip. So we played cards and had some snack in the room while some of us took a short nap. We were all tired from snorkelling.

The sand were wet and hard after the rain. Don't you think the sand texture look kind of interesting.

The rain only stops towards the evening. A few of my friends wanted to go canoeing but there were too many people in the seas so we went snorkelling and swimming.

And guess what we had for dinner? Barbeque dinner for all of us. There were harms, bacons, potatoes, chicken wing and fishes. I got there late so didn’t get to taste the chicken wing. The others were good except for the fish because I have having difficulties picking out the bone one by one. I saw 2 cats wondering around so I fed my fish to the cats. Haha... How nice of me. They seem pretty hungry though.

After dinner, we took our last walk at the beach. We found a little small crab walking on the sand. We had nothing better to do then, so we try to grab hold of it but the little feller was pretty strong for it size. Managed to capture few shots while shining a torch light on it. Don't worry, no crab was harm. That night, we stayed up until about 3am in the morning sitting at the beach chit chatting. Then decided that we want to catch sun rise the next day.

Eh, isn't that "siput babi" (snail) shell? Of all the shells, it pick this one. LOL...

Class Trip To Redang Island (1st Day)

After our finals also the end of our foundation, my friends and I planned a 3 days 2 nights class trip to Redang Island. Some of my classmates will be moving on to other colleges and other courses, so this is a good opportunity to spend some time with them. Personally, this was my first class trip with my friends. I've attended youth camp and leadership camp in the past but not class trip. Haha…

We gather at Putra Bus Station, near PWTC around 9pm and boarded a 10pm bus to Terengganu. The journey lasted 8 hours. It was very tiring. Imagine sitting in the bus without moving around and the air conditional blowing right at your face. During one of the stop, one of my friends was kind enough to lend me his sweater; else I would be freezing to sleep.

We arrived at Terengganu at 6am in the morning and the bus that supposed to pick us up only arrived at 7am. In between, there was a long waiting and we did some walking around the town. I bought some souvenirs back for my family. It was still early when we arrived at the resort's office. Not many shops were open then. We had our breakfast at a near by restaurant. I skipped breakfast because I wasn't a morning person. Usually don't have appetite in the morning.

We visited the market too.

This is the resort's office.

Souvinir stores near the pier. Some of the batik sold there are really nice.

The journey from the pier to the island took almost an hour. I was feeling sea sick, so took a short nap just to cure myself.

Some snapshots taken in the jet.

After we unload our luggage at the resort, we had our lunch. After that, we went swimming before going snorkelling in the afternoon. As usual, I was afraid of depth. So swimming isn't my thing. Just went there to play water. The water was so clear that you can practically see fishes swimming beneath your feet.

It was my first time going snorkelling. It was fun having able to see beautiful sea corals and different kind of fishes. I even get to touch a sea cucumber.

This our rooms. 5 - 6 people in a room. It's a family room.

There was a squirrel lingering around in our neighbourhood. Don't you think it look so cute? This little feller wasn't shy around people, probably because it being handled by the resort's stuff often.

One can do scuba diving there too.

Some snapshots taken while strolling along the beach. We also went there after our dinner. We walk from one resort to the other.

There was a souvinir shop below the "More More Tea Inn". Most of the things sold at Redang Island are 2 times the price of what we can get back in KL. As you can see, it is a tourist area.

It written "shark" in Chinese charactor.

The sign written "Please do not feed the monkey". Haha...

After taking a walk at the beach, we end our day by playing cards and chit chatting in our room. I was tired so I went to bed early. I heard that some of them stayed up as late as 3am in the morning.

This is the longest entry ever. Happy viewing everyone. I have more to post up...

Along Petaling Street...

That evening before heading Redang, my dearest drove Stephanie and I to Petaling Street after Joshua's photo session. There was a Photography fair over the weekend at Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

After that, we then dropped by the Chan Clan Associations. It's a tourist attraction place. The place did look a bit creepy, with names crafted over the place and photos of the ancestors.

Photo Session - Joshua

Joshua, my classmate, was requested to submit some studio photos by a modelling agent. So I did an arrangement with my dearest to have a photo session with him at Stephanie's place. This guy is a potential model who already has the look and height of a male model. I wish you all the best, friend. :)
