Perodua TVC

Two weekends ago, few college mates and I did a shoot for Perodua TVC. Perodua? I actually thought the ad was for Perodua Myvi SE (Special Edition) since it was launched not too long ago. But when I was told it’s for Perodua’s new Kancil, I couldn’t believe it. Well, obviously I’m not into cars as most guys do, either do I read Paul Tan’s blog about latest automobile.

Anyway, the new replacement for Kancil is called Viva, as mentioned in Paul’s blog. The car looks a lot like Myvi, just a little smaller. I’m afraid that you got to wait for the car to launch first in order to see it. But lucky us, we get to see it before it launch. And one of my friends already had first hand experience driving it. *Jealous*

The shoot took place at TTDI Place, right behind the old IBM building. The place is still new therefore there wasn’t any resident around that area. We were told to gather at 12pm but the shoot was delayed, as usual. I was told that the production crew had a shoot at KLCC in the morning and that they were on their way. It was 2pm then.

Most of the talents were hungry by then because it has passed their lunch hour. The catering van only arrived at 2.30pm and we only start shooting about nearly 3pm. It rained that afternoon, unlike the previous shoot when we had to sit under the hot sun whole day.

This time round, the shoot end surprisingly early. We were done by 6.30pm. We wanted to catch “Mr. Bean’s Holiday“ but unfortunately the tickets were sold out for that day. Then we went over to Manhattan Fish Market at IKANO Power Center for dinner. Every one of us was exhausted after the shoot so we ordered two large dishes to fill our hungry stomach. It was my second time at Manhattan First Market. I really enjoyed the food there.

nicky: I joined TFS in 2004, but only got called 2006 for jobs after I updated my portfolio. That was because the portfolio I presented back then wasn’t presentable to clients. That’s why it is important to your photos at the end of the grooming classes.

Having joining TFS, have benefited me in many ways. Such as putting my own make-up and posing in front of the camera.

So my advice would be - why not give it a shot?

Anyway, feel free to contact me on MSN - celine_yap@hotmail.com if you have further questions.

how come so many people say tfs no jobs ah? im a mother and i also got call from tfs to go for Easy off Bang casting. actually my teenage daughter is tfs talent and they always call her for kfc, hotlink, even fashion show….i sent her to the grooming classes, she enjoyed it…i also send my 5year old boy pictures to them and got call for casting for children wear catalogue…..they paid him RM1000 for 4 hours shoot in Subang. so, i think tfs is ok, not cheating. maybe those not so good and no potential don get jobs but blame on tfs…..just my opinion: )

THE TRUTH ABOUT TFS CREATIVE sdn bhd ( A MODELLING BOGUS STORY)

I was called to write this based on my own experience when i read CLEO mag’s May issue of 2005. The article was about scams and business tricks that some parties are pulling nowadays. There was this small column about modeling boguses and when I read through I realized that I happen to know what they were talking bout. Juz to inform other girls out there, TFS CREATIVE SDN. BHD. Is NOT a modeling agency like they claim to be. It’s all BULLSHIT! The story goes when so-called talent-scouts approaches eager, innocent young girls (esp when there r no boys or family around you) in MYSPACE (yep, it’s true), shopping malls and other social networking websites (I’ve asked other girl about this). Then they’ll ask for ur number (preferably handphone) and say that someone will contact you in a few days. Oh yes, they did. You will then have to make an appointment with them and you’ll have to come to WISMA GOLDHILL in Raja Chulan, KL. When I arrived there wit ma mom, I realized ‘twas not a production house or stuff but a fucking office. There were few other girls waiting their turn for the “consultation”.

So when I was called into one of the offices, this hip, short-haired girl intro’d herself as Lea Dato’ Wan (I’m soo evil giving her real name…huhuhu). She ran through the whole thing, took my height and weight and skin condition (konon pro laa) and confidently asked me to sign a contract. I was hesitant but my mum asked me to juz sign (thanks a lot mum). It’s stated there that I have to go through a course of grooming classes and deportment of model potential (ahahaha..gelak golek golek). It’s for free but in one class you’ll learn bout make-up application so I’d have to buy the cosmetics from them which kononnye will cost round rm200-300 only (yea right!). If I break the contract I’ll be fined rm2000.

So I went to the classes. The first one was ok but after the third one something doesn’t seem right. I’m not trying to be bitchy but some people just does not have the potential (ok, now I sound like a bitch). But this is seriously speaking lah. So when twas time for the make-up consultation plak they asked me to buy either Bobbi Brown or Beverly Hills. They tested those stuff for compatibility on my skin then they said I’d have to take Beverly Hills (damn you Lea! I wanted Bobbi fucking Brown). Ok fine (but I still get to keep the make-up..yeay!). The total was around rm800 (told yea…rm200 lah sangat).

So every week they’ll deport around 30 new girls. Bayangkanlah, how many girls are there as competition? Ramai gile weyy..then there were 6 classes…blab la bla yadda yacketty yack (to make it short).. It was all just a scam..nope..no modeling works after that, so far I haven’t heard of any from the others as well…so papehal if you wanna do modeling go for a legit companies and if they ask you for cash before-hand tell them to go fuck themselves and cabut bulu hidung trade it wit gold (dah start merepek dah). I just feel the responsibilities to inform other girls lah..
