A Trip To Genting

Two (2) weeks ago, three (3) of classmates and I drove up to Genting Highlands after our assignment submission in the afternoon. The trip was planned a week ago which initial it’s just three (3) of them. But since they mentioned that they will be dropping by the casino, so I thought why not just tag along since it’s after submission.

It was a half day trip. We arrived there in the evening. Played at the arcade, had dinner, and visited the casino. Everything was expensive at Genting, even the food. One of my friends was underage and had to stay outside while we went in the casino.

The weather was pretty cold that night. We were chilling outside of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf drinking ice-blended coffee. Haha…

We arrived back in KL around 3am in the morning after having another meal at a mamak at Gombak.

Patriotic Carnival

Four (4) weeks ago, I was invited to attend a Patriotic Carnival event held at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) in conjunction of Malaysia 50th Celebration. So I was given reason to skip class that morning. There was several other colleges/university present at event but apparently APIIT/UCTI had the most attendances. The event, to my opinion was just average. The whole event was conducted using Bahasa which defeat the purposed of inviting International students to the event because they don’t understand a single word was said. I must say, the presentation was pretty impressive but I was expecting a little more from them. The buffet was alright; good enough to feed my hungry stomach by lunch.

Animax Fashion Ability

Five (5) weeks ago, there was an Animax Fashion Ability show at 1-Utama, Bandar Utama. I knew about the competition months back but didn’t bother to read up on it; else I may have given it a try.

The designers were supposed to design an outfit inspired by the Anime Paradise Kiss.

For more pictures of the event, click here and here.

On that day itself, there were two (2) other booths on the event, one offering free make-up while the other offering free airbrush tattoo services. I have always wanted to get myself a temporary tattoo but think it isn’t worth the money because it will fade off after five (5) to seven (7) days. So gotten one on my back which only lasted for five (5) days.

PS: Noticed the tattoo is a bit crooked? Thank goodness it wasn’t permanent. LOL

The Girl Has Talent

I was browsing through YouTube on Mandy Moore’s video clip and usually you can find similar search on the same page of the video. And Esmée’s video caught my attention. At first glance, I thought she was just another girl who records herself singing and post it up online for everyone to see. After streaming through one of her video clip, I was pretty impressed by her vocal. Then I noticed a banner with her photo and URL on it. Thought to myself, she probably has something.

Visited her website and found out that she’s some kind of YouTube celebrity.

Esmée Denters, a 19 years old Dutch singer. A poster child for the webcam generation, Denters was first noticed on YouTube in August of 2006 for amateur videos of her singing cover versions of popular songs. By early June of 2007, the then 18 year old had been signed as the first artist on the new Tennman Records label headed by singer Justin Timberlake. - Source

Special Effects

For those who own a Mac or have used it before will know that Mac have this really cool Photo Booth Software that allows you take pictures with special effects that looks like “photoshop-ed”.

My friend and I were helping out at the some kid exhibition at Midvalley the other day. The traffic was rather slow because it was a Friday evening and how many people would actually go to that mall during that time? He was playing with one of the staff’s kid, making funny faces in front of the Mac’s camera. Then later we were camwhoring instead.
