Few days ago, I went for another KFC TV Commercial, same location as the previous shoot but short duration altogether. The only thing I needed to sacrifice is my sleep because the shoot was from 7pm until morning. My youngest brother tagged along for the shoot because as they needed a young boy around his age and since he has already finished his exam and all, so he decided to skip school the next day. Knowing my brother very well, he tends to get moody whenever he needs to wait for long hour, I informed him before hand about the timing and he agreed to take the job.

We arrived at the location half passed seven (7) and the shoot only start four (4) hours later. They should have stick with the initial plan of asking the talent to come at 10pm instead of 7pm.

Towards the last minute, my agency asked me to find a college male talent. I thought it was pretty impossible to get anyone to travel all the way to Kota Damansara at such late hour. I sms-ed few of my friends and to my surprised I received three (3) calls immediately and one (1) of them responded and came all the way from Taman Melawati to the shooting location. I guess people are willing to scarify anything for money. Haha… I am one of them.

I also met up with few talents whom I’ve worked with during the previous shoot - this and this, and to my surprise, they still remember me. I have to admit that I can’t remember a person name or recognise them unless I get introduce to them or met them twice.

We did the usual thing during the shoot, like walking in the background. But this time, during one of the scene, we were asked to stand up and dance. It was so embarrassing because there were customers around. The ad is about a person after eating the Cheesy Meltz, he gets so high and cheerful all around. Don’t miss the ad when it’s out.

I’m currently in my last semester of Degree Level 2, a rather short semester which only last for two (2) months. After this semester, I will be entering to my final year of Degree. Due to my tight schedule and timetable, I will have to put my fashion course aside for now to concentrate on my Computing Degree which is my current priority. Really can’t wait to get over with this and move on to do something which I like and hopefully my parents will allow me to further my fashion Degree overseas. We’ll see.

I have to admit, I’m really enjoying my student life. The fact that I have lots of freedom and time to do the things I want. To the extent that at times I so bored doing nothing. Please don’t be jealous. At least those of you who are working have salary to look forward to every end of the month while I have to live off my parents’ allowance. Of course there are times that I wish I came from a wealthy family, loaded with cash to shop till I drop, wearing designers’ clothes and all. It’s just luxury. Three (3) weeks ago, I was offered a job as a dresser for a bridal show. I was short listed based on my experience in helping show and I must say, the pay are much better that the usual TVC that I’ve done - shorter waiting hours for a higher pay.

The bridal show was held in conjunction of Malaysian Largest Bridal Exhibition at KL Convention Centre. Visitors were charged RM5 per couple for entry which defeat the purpose of encouraging couples to enter. If I wasn’t there for the job, I wouldn’t bother to pay RM5 to see the exhibition. There were one (1) fashion show each on both Saturday and Sunday featuring bridal wear by De Casamia, Lasposa and a company from Hong Kong.

I must say, all the dresses were beautiful. Trying to imagine making one myself. *grin*

PS: You can’t imagine how crazy it can be at backstage just to put up a good show. It’s madness, I tell you. Seriously.
