Adding Badminton To My Weekly Routine

November 11th 2007 -

Apart from working out at the gym, doing my usual cardio and resistance training, I added badminton to my weekly exercise. For someone who is “so-called” into fitness like myself *cough* it’s good to have additional sports to add to your usual work out. At least, it wouldn’t be the same old routine over and over again. It can be pretty boring, you know.

Two (2) weeks ago, I joined the APIIT/UCTI Badminton Team with few other friends of mine for at game of badminton at Bukit Jalil Golf Club. I personally like the place as it is spacious and the ceiling is higher compared to the usual place we played, the Clubhouse at Vista Commonwealth.

According to the lecturer in charged, the Golf Club has increase their hourly booking rate for the court from RM15 per hour to RM31 per hour. That’s crazy! And I heard from my senior, the college would usually book three (3) to four (4) courts a time. Just imagine how much would it cost to play a time and what if at times no one turns up? Sad to say, that day was our first and last time playing under APIIT/UCTI Badminton Team. If anyone know where we can get very low rate to book badminton courts near Bukit Jalil? Please pleaseeeeeee, let us know.

As for my dearest, he has recently bought himself a road bike and has already cycling on weekly basis. I’m also thinking of getting a road bike of my own to join him for weekend rides. But then, budget is a problem for me. If you have friends or you yourself are into cycling, you would know how much it would cost to get a proper road bike. Maybe I should start a charity campaign called “Help-Celine-Get-A-Bike” to raise some fund. Anyone with me? LOL.
