Last week, after we went to Axcess Tickets to refund our tickets, we then dropped by Jaya 33 to kill some time. Jaya 33 is a commercial office building with shop lots on the grand and lower grand floor. There weren’t much to see though since the building is still new.

True Fitness outlet was one of the most outstanding ones in the building. So to kill time, Steph went to enquire about membership rates and classes while we tagged along. The facilities overall was pretty impressive, there have yoga, aerobic classes, swimming pool and lots and lots of equipment for one to work out. Of course, everything comes with a price too. Altogether, one year membership sums up to RM3k+. Well, if you’re working, and living nearby, it shouldn’t be a big sum for you.

For me, I’m pretty satisfied with the current gym I’m attending, which only cost me RM30 a month. Not like I have all the time in the world to try out each and every equipments and classes in the gym. But if budget is not a problem, why not? Overall, I would rate the facilities five (5) stars.

When I was young, my parents never encourage us to borrow money from friends. Worried that we may make it a habit of doing it and end up owing people’s money. Another word would be, having debts at such a young age. Borrowing money from people are usually the easiest and fastest option to gain access to cash but not many people will be willing to lend the money especially if it’s a big amount. Two (2) weeks ago, Toni & Guy had a hair show at City Harvest Church. Wait a minute, a church? Well, let’s just say that we can’t find other location within their budget. Initially, I wasn’t going to participate in the show until Koo called me up the night before and told me to be there at 11 in the morning. 11am in the morning??? And guess what, the show is only at 9pm!!! Ten (10) hours of waiting? You must be kidding me. But since I’ve done many TVC before, I’m kind of used to the long waiting hour. Dearest didn’t think it was worth my time because they aren’t paying the model for participating except six (6) months of free hair cut services which wasn’t necessary for me since my hair is already so short and there’s nothing else to cut. Sigh. I miss my long hair. My hair was cut for the third time, few days before the hair show. Dearest wasn’t too happy about it.

One of the reasons that I participate in the hair show was to gain experience. It was my first ever hair show catwalk. Well, not really, does the catwalk at Veet Stand Out competition counts?

The whole day was spent on wardrobe testing, make up and hair styling. The one thing I wasn’t happy about was that some models only arrived at 5pm in the evening while the others had to be there in the morning. So unfair. By end of the day, I was feeling frustrated because of the long waiting but then again. It was still a one time opportunity which may be my first and last.

My friend high school friend, Elizabeth, also participated in the show. Made new friends during the event as well. The girl the right is Yalis, who can’t stop burping throughout the whole event. It was pretty annoying though. But overall, she’s a very friendly and bubbly person.

Also, I met up with Michael from my previous college, Mantissa Institute. Didn’t know he attends City Harvest Church.

Whenever we do shopping for friend’s birthday, Christmas or other special occasion, we usually find it hard to get gifts for guys. The few things we can think of are tie, underwear, t-shirt, keychain. What else? And it kind of repeats itself years after years. Now for a change, why not get them something cool instead like neon clocks for the garage, to personalised garage signs, right down to a designer toilet bowl plunger with a car gear shifter handle and motorised coolers.
