Angeles City (Part 2)
Short note: Does anyone know any make-up artists or hair stylists who may be interested to collaborate with a photographer to do shoots and at the same time wanting to build their own portfolio? Do drop me an email at celine_yap@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks! ![]()

Before traveling over to Philippines, Bart Lapers emailed some modeling agencies at Philippines to book models for the photo shoot. Initially, the plan was to use Angeles Beach Club Hotel to do the shoot, instead he also managed to get permission to use Lewis Grand Hotel to do the shoot which was really beautiful.
We met the models after lunch hour, wanted to do the shoot outdoor but due to the heavy rain, it was not possible. So we did the shoot indoor instead. At the time, most of the room were occupied but the management managed to get a deluxe room for us to do the shoot.
Kevin was the lighting technician for the shoot while Bart do the photography.

One of the model, Geri, who also run a modeling agency of her own - Amethyst Models Management, brought her make-up artist along for the shoot. And I must say, she did a wonderful job changing the look for both models. Having a make-up artist do make a big different. ![]()

While the other model, Dharls, is a full time model as well a entrepreneur who own a boutique of her own.

The management served us complimentary meals.

And I must say. It was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!!! It was something out of the world that I’ve eaten. Can you guess what is it? It’s PORK meat! Where in Malaysia can you find pork burger? Haha…

This is how the swimming pool looks like from the balcony.
While following are some behind the scene pics from the photo shoot. The shoot lasted till 7pm in the evening and we shoot in three (3) different locations.

Random Thought: Beliving In Oneself
Bill Keith came to my college the other day to have a little chat with the students. He is not just a successful fashion designer by also a very inspiring person who have a lot to share. The whole 2 hours of talking was rather inspiring as he said there are so many people who graduate from the same college, same university, all studied the same course but why only very few managed to make it to the top? The problem with us is that, he pointed out, we “MALAYSIA” are by nature, are rather “MALA-S–”. Which I think he does have a point in there. Very often we take things for granted and thinks that opportunities would knock on our door twice. Having to always pushing things around and making unnecessary excuses. But instead, we should do things for ourselves and grab as many opportunities as possible.
Take a competition for example. How many of us look at the price first before entering, or do we let the cost (start up cost) discourage us from giving it a shoot? Well, whatever that is. We should always do it for ourselves and not for others. Because at the end of the day, it is us who are living our own life.
The inspiration I get for the following two (2) pics are, the first pic represent self, as an individual. Having the fire inside one self, be it knowledge or idea or belief. If we hold on to whatever we are believing or know, the fire in us may just die off. Instead, we should share it to others and not keep it to yourself.

By sharing idea or knowledge to others, people would see us someone who is unselfish. May the fire in us shine right through us like in the second pic and may other benefit from it too. ![]()

This is the original picture.

I’m not sure what I just said made any sense. But anyway, it’s a “random” thought after all. ![]()
Disney’s Beauty & The Beast - Broadway Musical
Last week, I attended the Disney’s Beauty & the Beast - Broadway Musical with my mum. My mum got invited to the show by CIMB Bank. The invites inclusive of 2 tickets worth RM350 each and pre-musical show cocktail. Never knew she would get those passes as I myself have been wanting to attend the show but the tickets were a bit too pricey. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. I was really excited about the whole show. I even brought a change of clothes after my usual Saturday classes.
The show was held at KL Convention Center. It was in fact my second time attending shows at the Plenary Hall. Not too bad, I would say. Because as far as I remember, Istana Budaya was a little inconvenient for most people as the location is a bit further and parking is a hassle too.

At the pre-musical show cocktail, we were given goodies bags, instead are brochures of CIMB Bank and a mug by Disney’s Beauty & the Beast - Broadway Musical.

The food was awesome and I managed to eat enough for dinner. There few lots of mouth watering deserts and not forgetting salmon sushi!

Few minutes before the show begins, there was a “meet and greet” the cast sessions. So I took the opportunity to take some pictures with the casts. Well, I guess it’s a once in a life time opportunity for me to be able to meet and greet the cast. ![]()

This is Lumière the candle. He is definitely over six (6) feet.

This is the guy from the bookstore, where Bell buys her books from.

This is Mrs. Potts and the guy are normal citizen.

And this is Cogsworth, the clock.

Few minutes before the show start, there were two (2) seats beside me were still unoccupied. Then I saw Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Ting walked in with his family. He stood in front of me, so I shook his and to my surprised, he sat next to me. I went completely stone and speechless for some reason. Although he may have a Dato’ title but he’s still human, right? *embarrassed* Wanted to take a picture with him but the management made had already announcement about no photography allow during the show.
During some part of the show, I tempted to snap some shots. Especially towards the end of the show. But having him seating next to me, I might as well just obey the rule. LOL.

Overall, I think the whole musical show was well presented. The performance were great, the singing were great, the sound effect was awesome as well as the costume and wardrobe. Not forgetting, there were live orchestra too. Two (2) thumbs up for me. Am looking forward to more musical show in future. ![]()

The Website Is Down: Sales Guy vs. Web Dude
My friend show me this video which I find rather hilarious.
Getting A Tattoo
Short note: I apologise for the down time which was caused by exceeded bandwidth. This is because I’m sharing the web hosting with 7 other domains, including kevinhan.net and bicyclebuysell.com.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Ever thought of getting a tattoo? For some reason, it have never come across my mind. Firstly, because it gonna be permanent thing. Secondly, I’m afraid of needle. Thirdly, if you ever decided to remove it, it gonna hurt real bad and cost even more money. Fourthly, I can’t imagine how it gonna look like once my skin start to sag. And fifthly, it’s against my belief.
So it’s a big NO NO for me. Well, that’s just me. I’m not condemning those who have tattoo. I personally think that tattoo is kind of body art. It’s like putting make-up on. But this one is rather permanent. So, if you ever think of getting one, I would advise that you think properly and not regret it later.

My friend, Khairul, who got his tattoo done at Zoo Body Art told me that the tattoo artists there are very professional and the place is known among the celebrities. Even for piecing itself, they charge a minimum of RM100.

Tiger, the tattoo artist, designed this tattoo for Khairul. If I’m not mistaken, this tattoo cost RM800+.

And I have the privilege to witness the whole tattooing process. ![]()

I asked Khairul whether does the hurt when the needle pierced through the skin. He said it only felt ticklish. A lady who was got her tattoo done before him was screaming in pain the almost the whole session. Which sounded like she was having an orgy.

The whole session took about over an hour. I didn’t get to see the end result though as I had to head home early that evening.
By the way, the tattoo was Khairul’s birthday present to himself. ![]()
People say, you won’t remember a person as much unless he/she made an impact on you. If you know a friend who love tattoos, why not get one for her him/her. Then he/she will definitely remember you for life. Like how Jordin Sparks puts it,
“You’re still a part of everything I do,
You’re on my heart just like a tattoo,
I’ll always have you.”
