My Sunburn Got More Obvious
Had a short ride this time, due to the hot weather. We were riding at Putrajaya and there weren’t much shades compared to Janda Baik and Genting Sempah.
No matter how much sun block I applied, I’ll still get sun burn. Well, prevention is better than cure, right? But it’s alright. I shall call it, my invisible pants! LOL. Haha… ![]()

Okay, it’s ugly actually. So I’ll need to apply more whitening cream over the weekdays. ![]()

A Great Long Ride
My dearest got me another bike. This one is a hottie! It’s blue and it’s Trek 1500 in Discovery Channel team colors

And I wore my new Oakey shades for the first time for the ride. The purpose of getting cycling shades is mainly for protection. My shades may be on the oversize side, but don’t know how huge bug managed to fly in. Luckily it didn’t go into my eye like the last time. I’m totally serious!

The road along Janda Baik had a “Ketua Kampung” sign hanging outside the village. Pretty interesting.

This time round we had two (2) new friends who tag along for the ride.

And unfortunately both of them puncture their tires once!

It was the best ride I had so far. I love the hills! Looking forward to more. Man, I love cycling! It’s so much better than going to the gym. Honestly, it’s as good as paying for a gym membership and you get to workout for life! ![]()

OK! Red Party
My mum is an OK! Mag subscriber and I do have to say, I’m also a fan of the OK! Magazine. Not so much for its gossip and all but more for the fashion that I’m interested in. Well, I do hope they would stay that way and not get too localised.
Anyway, my mum passed me the OK! Red Party invitation along with the mag which got delivered terribly LATE! Someone should do something about this. Come on, subscribers paid in advance so we should be getting the mag early else mind as well we get it at the magazine stand instead, right?
Okay, I only got the invitation pass two (2) days before the event! So, I called up some friends whom may be interested to go. But unfortunately, the age limit for guys was 25 and above. I was like, come on! It’s an event! I’m sure they have guys’ readers who are below 25? Hello?
So, to avoid taking any risk, I invited guy friends who are above 25 years old. For someone who do not have much experience in going to clubs, bars or events as such, so I just play safe and follow the rule. Don’t want to end up leaving anyone at the entrance waiting for me till the event is over.

The event was scheduled to start at 8pm and it was stated in on the invitation card that the first 200 will receive goodies bags. Venue was at Heritage Mansion, which supposed to be a high class fashion bar for the rich and the famous from what I was told and only people with special invitation are allowed to enter. By the time we arrived, it was 8.15pm. All 200 goodies bags were given out. Accordingly, people started queuing up before 8pm. Man! People these days are getting more and more “kiasuâ€. Upon entering, we were given a free cocktail voucher to redeem at the bar. But that night, there was a free flow of alcohol, fully sponsored by Belvedere Vodka.

The crowds only started to come in about 10pm. Many celebrities were present during that event. I met several familiar faces at the event and also made friends.
Following are some of the celebrities that were present:
Serena C, Hannah Tan, Xandria Ooi, Sazzy Falak, Hansen Lee, Point Blanc, Johnson Wee, Stephanie Chai, Deborah Henry, Gloria Ting, Chelsia Ng, Chermain Poo, Adam C, Will Quah, Justin Chan…

And my dear Steph managed to bring back a bottle of Belvedere Vodka. An empty one, that is.

Backstreet Boys Live In KL
-Post Edited -Â
I’ve been deprived of sleep. Why? Firstly, was because of the overnight TVC shoot, secondly because I had to rush for my fashion final year profile and thirdly was because I attended the Backstreet Boys concert the day after the TVC shoot.
This is what happened two (2) weeks ago. The TVC shoot was on a Tuesday, the shoot only wrapped up at 5.30am in the morning and I had a morning class at 9.45am. Since it was a lab session, so I decided to skip the class and sleep a little longer, then attend the next one at 12pm.
I bought the Backstreet Boys tickets a day before the concert, just in case I can’t get any tickets at the very last minute. To a certain extend, I can be quite kiasu. Haha… Anyway, I’ve always been a big fan of the Backstreet Boys, to the extend of collecting their posters, stickers, cards, albums, singles, biography books, VCDs and even wasted few colour cartridges printing pictures of them.

Okay, just to tell you a little of what went wrong that morning. I got home that morning at 6am and went to bed at 6.30am, later at 7.30am, Pietro from Mix FM smsed me and ask me whether I still need tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert. Obviously I didn’t hear the sms beep on my phone because I was fast asleep. Later at 9am, he called me instead and told me that Hitz FM are giving away four (4) VIP passes for the Backstreet Boys concert and told me that I have to go to Astro at 10am and had to go on air. I was so sleepy, I didn’t hear him mentioning the “VIP” word and mistaken it for normal passes. Then I thought since I have bought the tickets, why not let someone else have the tickets. I was dead tired so I couldn’t bother to wake up to go over to the radio station at 10am. The part when he told me that I had to go on air, I thought I had to compete with another listener to get the tickets. *Thought to myself it was a waste of time* But the request was as simple as saying “Thanks you, Hitz fm!†on air. By the time I was fully awake, that was about 11am, I then realised that I have made a BIG MISTAKE! I called Pietro back to clarify what he mentioned earlier but too bad, they have already given away the VIP passes. Man, I should have just said “YESâ€! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggg…. For the whole day, I was so upset with myself and tried to convince myself that it’s just another VIP passes. Not big deal whatsoever. But still, it was free passes and I could have sold mine and get back my cash. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh.
*sob*
Lesson learned: Always say yes to free passes. If you don’t want it, can still decide later. LOL ![]()

Anyway, back to the concert. The concert was held at Sunway Surf Beach. My friends and I arrived to the entrance at 6pm and people were already queuing up since early in the afternoon. It was raining that evening and I thought “Yay! We all gonna be dancing in in the rain“. LOL. *just kidding* It turned out that the weather was on our side, the rain stopped just before the concert and we were only let in after 8pm. The management for the concert did a very poor job managing the crowds. The late comers were let in earlier than those who had been queuing for hours. *So unfair* Some of the unhappy crowds were pushing, yelling and swearing at the management because they been queuing for hours. Sigh, what had happened to people these days? But after everyone has passed entered, the traffic was a lot smoother.

Channel V was also presents at the event.

The concert only started at 9pm after three (3) hours of waiting.

The Backstreet Boys sang more than 20 songs, mainly from their new album – “Unbreakable†and few other hits from their previous albums. The concert was worth the wait. The overall performance by the Backstreet Boys were awesome, just lack of interaction between the crowds.

Celine Enjoys Cycling!
I’ve been cycling. Well, for almost half a year. And I’m enjoying it! Seriously… ![]()

My dearest got me a bike, cycling pants and jersey. *grin* All for the sake of getting me into cycling! And he succeeded! Baby, aren’t you’re happy? Hahah… From my experience, I would definitely recommend cycling to anyone because it’s just so fun to cycle! It’s much easier than working out at the gym for an hour, if you ask me. Time passes very quickly when you’re on the wheel, by the time you finished, you wouldn’t even realised that you’ve cycling for hours! ![]()

When we cycle, we cycle in a group. The more the merrier. Definitely!

Being a female rider, I’m relatively slower compared to the guys. But I’m determined to be stronger rider after each rides. Not for anyone else’s sake, but for my own sake. I wanna have sexy + macho tights. LOL. Fortunately, some people are born slim and thin by genetic without the need to work out at all, but definitely not me. I had to work for it.

These aren’t our bikes. They belong to other riders whom happened to be at McD for breakfast as well.

Above is the route to Genting Sempah. This is about 16km up the hill and 16km back down.
Above is the route that we cycle at Putrajaya. The yellow track on map only shows 40km. But usually cycle 50km. Estimate about two (2) and a half (1/2) hours to complete.

** If there’s anyone who may be interested to ride with us, do drop me a line.Â
We usually cycle on Sundays. Weekdays, you can join the PCC rides at Damansara Height. ![]()
On Valentine’s Day…
… I went clubbing with my friends at Zouk! Yup, you got that right! I went clubbing with my friends on Valentine’s Day.
I envy those who celebrated Valentine’s Day with their other half. But then, I don’t see the point of paying extra on gifts, meals, flowers on Valentine’s Day when you can get them cheaper on any other day. *Celine anti-Valentine’s Day.*
Also, I don’t see the point of spending money on flowers when you can’t even keep them! I’m not saying that I don’t like them. I do! But I don’t see the point of keeping something that will not last. Well, what about chocolates, you’d probably ask? Haha… At least I get to eat it! LOL. ![]()

Just before we go to Zouk, we were at KLCC doing some shopping. *wink* And then headed to Starbucks for some coffee while waiting for time to pass.

We entered Zouk pretty early that day because we had nothing else to do. Entrance was free for ladies before midnight while guys had to pay RM35. It was my first time entering Zouk and it turned out to be less fancy as I thought it was. But it was alright.

Meet DJ Retangle on the right.

This is Ammar, who invited us to Zouk. He’ll be leaving Malaysian by the end of the month. Well, we’ll be missing you. Wish you all the best in your future undertaking.

Japanese Cosplay Uniform
During my long semester break, I’ve been working. One of the jobs that I was offered requires to be in a Japanese School Girl cosplay uniform. Our tasks were simply – giving out Ran Online CDs.

Photo Shoot With Bart Lapers
Four (4) weeks ago, we had a photo session with Bart Lapers, a photographer from Belgium, at Maya Hotel, while my dearest was the lighting technician on that day. Models who are present on that day were Joyce and Joanne.

What I didn’t understand is why ‘some’ photographers like to move around when they are shooting at one location. Funny, isn’t it?

I think Bart looks really handsome, he could be a male model himself. ![]()

Man, both of them are really tall. Wished I was slightly taller.

YOUTH’08 - Last Day
YOUTH’08 event was held for three (3) on-going days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the last day of the event, there were people dressed in movie and anime characters to promote the Animax program for the day.

Hannah Tan was the host for the event.

There were also creative fashion displays by our local designers. My friend and I were wearing one of the designers’ creative outfit out of the YOUTH’08 t-shirt given to them.

Hannah Tan was also invited to share her opinion at the Celebrity Secrets corner.

There were other mascots present on that day.

On Sunday, the event ended slightly early compared to usual and we all had our great time snapping photos after the clean up sessions.

Joel Noeh, our boss, even autograph our book.

We all had an amazing time together. I got to meet a lot of friends there. We’ll see you next year at YOUTH’09! ![]()
A Weekend With Nickelodeon
Three (3) weekends ago, I was offered a job as an escort for a Nickelodeon event at Mahkota Parade, Malacca. Well, it was actually a pre-event and the main event was the weekend after. Transport was on our own and we drove two (2) cars down to Malacca. There was five (5) of us altogether – myself, three (3) guys and our boss. We were driving in the hot afternoon and guess what? The air-cond isn’t functioning as it supposed to. We were like sitting in a steam room but in a car instead. I’m not joking! It was seriously Hot!
We arrived at Malacca around noon. Checked into Holiday Inn, get changed and went straight off to Mahkota Parade for work. I was told that Holiday Inn just opened few months ago and I think it is one of the best hotels in Malacca so far. Partly is because it is still new. I’m sure the price are comparatively more expensive then the other.

This is me in my Nickelodeon t-shirt and you’re looking at is my mirror image.

I really love the bed. Was bouncing it few times when no one was looking. Well, the only person whom I shared room with was my boss herself.

This is the two (2) mascots before they put on their costume.

Then, there’s the three (3) of us. Do-Re-Me? Okay, I’m always the shortest among my friends. Even girls. Sigh.

And we’re all ready to meet the crowds! Two (2) mascots and two (2) escorts.
Seriously, I didn’t believe my boss when she said the crowds just go crazy over Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick until I see them get swarmed by people. It was crazy. Thank goodness there were few security guards with us. The people were pulling and pushing the mascots. It must have been difficult for them.

These are the two (2) mascots after they took off their costume. Sweaty and tired.

There were two (2) shifts for each day. After our first shifts, we headed off to a nearby food court for lunch.

Having to travel since morning without any proper rest, we headed back to our hotel for a quick nap before going for the second shift for the day.

In the evening, we drove over to Malacca famous Jonker Street for dinner. I must admit, I’m pretty bored of Malacca already having to go there every holiday season. But since my fellow colleagues are from KL, so they were dying to have a taste of Malacca famous dessert “ice-kacang with gula Melakaâ€. We even tired the “siew mai†which one of them said was nice. Well, it was alright.

After we were done with Jonker Street, we went to Ringo Classic & Antiques for a drink. Well, more like chilling. I wasn’t drinking because I can’t drink and my colleagues ordered beer. And later, we headed to Pure Bar which was just a couple of miles away far from our hotel. My colleagues ordered two (2) big thing of beer (not sure what you called that).

I didn’t really stay long. Called my friend who lives in Malacca to actually rescue me from the club so that I can go back early but ended up we drop over to Malacca town where the Ferris Wheel was.

I didn’t expect the Ferris Wheel to be so small. But at least it has nicer colours compared to Eye On Malaysia.

There was also the Pirate Ship which is similar to the one at The Mall. Guess everything is smaller here in Malacca. Haha… ![]()

I’m not sure whether am I supposed to post this. Shhhhh… But I was told that one of my colleagues was drunk. Not sure whether did they throw out. But they were doing some stupid stuff before heading back to their room. Man, this picture look so wrong.

And my drunk colleague practically drop dead on the floor before he could get back to his room. Poor feller.
NEXT DAY
Due to lack of sleep, two (2) of my colleagues had skipped breakfast in the morning so my boss had to take them for lunch. Guess what we had? Chicken rice!!! It was my second time eating that that particular restaurant and at the back of the restaurant they have a very nice oriental display.

As usual, boys will be boys. What can I say? I need not to explain the following pics.

I guess both of them have not recover from yesterday drinking session. Or could they be gay? Haha…
Alright, second day and back to work.

This time round, my boss suggested that we take Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick up the escalator to the first floor. The security guards had to stop the escalator, put Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick onto the escalator and then turn back on the escalator. It was pretty interesting seeing the people watching us.

After 40 minutes, we took a break at Starbucks. And yet again, those guys. Sigh. *shaking head*

What are they doing? Looks like some “rasa saying†thingy.

That’s all folks! That’s the end of my long post with Nickelodeon.
It was an interesting experience. It was more like a work cum holiday thing and was glad to make new friends too.
