Disney’s Beauty & The Beast - Broadway Musical
Last week, I attended the Disney’s Beauty & the Beast - Broadway Musical with my mum. My mum got invited to the show by CIMB Bank. The invites inclusive of 2 tickets worth RM350 each and pre-musical show cocktail. Never knew she would get those passes as I myself have been wanting to attend the show but the tickets were a bit too pricey. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. I was really excited about the whole show. I even brought a change of clothes after my usual Saturday classes.
The show was held at KL Convention Center. It was in fact my second time attending shows at the Plenary Hall. Not too bad, I would say. Because as far as I remember, Istana Budaya was a little inconvenient for most people as the location is a bit further and parking is a hassle too.

At the pre-musical show cocktail, we were given goodies bags, instead are brochures of CIMB Bank and a mug by Disney’s Beauty & the Beast - Broadway Musical.

The food was awesome and I managed to eat enough for dinner. There few lots of mouth watering deserts and not forgetting salmon sushi!

Few minutes before the show begins, there was a “meet and greet” the cast sessions. So I took the opportunity to take some pictures with the casts. Well, I guess it’s a once in a life time opportunity for me to be able to meet and greet the cast. ![]()

This is Lumière the candle. He is definitely over six (6) feet.

This is the guy from the bookstore, where Bell buys her books from.

This is Mrs. Potts and the guy are normal citizen.

And this is Cogsworth, the clock.

Few minutes before the show start, there were two (2) seats beside me were still unoccupied. Then I saw Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Ting walked in with his family. He stood in front of me, so I shook his and to my surprised, he sat next to me. I went completely stone and speechless for some reason. Although he may have a Dato’ title but he’s still human, right? *embarrassed* Wanted to take a picture with him but the management made had already announcement about no photography allow during the show.
During some part of the show, I tempted to snap some shots. Especially towards the end of the show. But having him seating next to me, I might as well just obey the rule. LOL.

Overall, I think the whole musical show was well presented. The performance were great, the singing were great, the sound effect was awesome as well as the costume and wardrobe. Not forgetting, there were live orchestra too. Two (2) thumbs up for me. Am looking forward to more musical show in future. ![]()
The Walk Of Happiness!
Last week didn’t go too well for me as many things had happened, although I had a a wonderful week to myself to do my own thing. But let’s skip that part!
One of my ways of releasing stress would be to take a walk. It doesn’t have to take place at the beach or any quiet area. Just having a walk at the streets, observing people and enjoying breeze is good enough to clam my soul. Okay, maybe I’m talking a little too deep! But I enjoy walking A LOT! It makes me happy. It really do.
Of course it would be best to have companion along.
Anyway… my friend accompanied me down to KL for a long walk after dinner. We practically walked the whole of KL. Almost! Okay, I maybe over exaggerated. Probably will make that my next target! Anyone interested to join me? Of course we will only do it at night else we’ll probably get roasted by the afternoon sun! Haha…
Following are the few places that we’ve been. By FOOT! Mind you. ![]()

Can anyone name some of the places that we’ve passed? Just the street name will do.
I may consider buying you a drink if you can guess it all right.
Movie With The Stars
Three (3) weekends ago, I was invited to watch Jarum Halus with the New Community members along with Kenny Sia and Christien New himself. It was a pretty late minute thing and Christien actually told me about it the date before and I had to make the toughest decision and decided to skip work to join them for movie.
I’m not a critic whatsoever but here is my honest point of view on Jarum Halus…
Jarum Halus is a local production and I must say that they have done a good job in terms of story board and dialogs. The cinematography was good; it did not look amateur work.Throughout the whole movie, I was really frustrated that why couldn’t Daniel (Christien New) and Mona (Juliana Ibrahim) discuss about the problem they had instead they had to live in a lie which it didn’t even exist.
Overall, I must say it was pretty good coming from a local production. Good job, Mark! I managed to meet Mark in person after the movie. He’s very young and talented. Not forgetting, Razif Hashim acting was excellent! He really makes you want to kill him at the end of the movie. Haha… Razif was at YOUTH’08 event and I got to meet him in person. Very awesome guy.

Visiting True Fitness Outlet
Last week, after we went to Axcess Tickets to refund our tickets, we then dropped by Jaya 33 to kill some time. Jaya 33 is a commercial office building with shop lots on the grand and lower grand floor. There weren’t much to see though since the building is still new.
True Fitness outlet was one of the most outstanding ones in the building. So to kill time, Steph went to enquire about membership rates and classes while we tagged along. The facilities overall was pretty impressive, there have yoga, aerobic classes, swimming pool and lots and lots of equipment for one to work out. Of course, everything comes with a price too. Altogether, one year membership sums up to RM3k+. Well, if you’re working, and living nearby, it shouldn’t be a big sum for you.
For me, I’m pretty satisfied with the current gym I’m attending, which only cost me RM30 a month. Not like I have all the time in the world to try out each and every equipments and classes in the gym. But if budget is not a problem, why not? Overall, I would rate the facilities five (5) stars.

This is the customers lounge.

Weekend At Cameron Highlands
Three (3) weekends ago, my dearest had a wedding assignment at The Lakehouse, Cameron Highlands. So I took the opportunity to enjoy my weekend up at Cameron Highlands. I remember the last time I went there was years ago, back when I was in high school.
The journey to Cameron Highlands was approximately two (2) and a half (1/2) hours, up the winding road. The weather was slightly colder compared to Genting Highlands. It’s a place where tea plantation, vegetables and strawberries grows. Where the air you breathe is comparatively fresher. Haha…
We stayed a night at Heritage Hotel which cost only RM168 with breakfast for 2, pretty reasonable price for a three (3) stars hotel.
Well, there’s nothing much you can do there except hiking and sight seeing as far as I know. Other than that, the life up there is pretty quiet and slow. Not a place that I would want to live for months. Even traveling up the winding road is enough to make me sick.

A Trip To Genting
Two (2) weeks ago, three (3) of classmates and I drove up to Genting Highlands after our assignment submission in the afternoon. The trip was planned a week ago which initial it’s just three (3) of them. But since they mentioned that they will be dropping by the casino, so I thought why not just tag along since it’s after submission.
It was a half day trip. We arrived there in the evening. Played at the arcade, had dinner, and visited the casino. Everything was expensive at Genting, even the food. One of my friends was underage and had to stay outside while we went in the casino.
The weather was pretty cold that night. We were chilling outside of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf drinking ice-blended coffee. Haha…

We arrived back in KL around 3am in the morning after having another meal at a mamak at Gombak.
Evening At Luna Bar
Last week was our semester break, so I thought why not we go somewhere to chill out after four months of studying. The initial plan was to go to Poppy Garden but we ended up going to Luna Bar at Pacific Regency instead.
We choose Luna Bar because of it KL sky view and environment. Not too noisy but rather a bar to chill out, chit chat and fun have.

Boring Landscape?
I used to asked Kevin, why he doesn’t take picture of landscape.
Me: Dear ah, come we go take landscape lah.
Kev: Nah. Don’t want lah.
Me: Why leh? Not nice meh? See “pointing at other photographers’ landscape photosâ€
Kev: Niceeeee. Of course lah nice. That one professional taken.
Me: Come lah, we go take.
Kev: Boring lah.
Me: Why boring wor?
Kev: Because so many people have already taken the same picture. Not unique anymore.
Me: =_=â€
———-
But now.
Kev: Dear ah, come we go take landscape.
Me: Landscape? I thought you never fancy landscape?
Kev: Ya, I know. But now I wanna try out a new technique.
Me: New technique? How? How?
Kev: HDR. It’s a combination of the same picture with different exposure.
Me: Ooooo… I see.

Anyway, check out his photos here.
A Trip to the Zoo
It’s been 6 months since we last had a TA gathering and that was at Marche. I personally think Marche wasn’t a bad choice for a large group to get together provided that everyone doesn’t mind the price. The food at Marche may be a little bit too expensive if you were to included appetizer, main course, drink and desert (comparing it to other same range of restaurant). It may total up to RM100++ per person (depending on what you order). I did find the market concept rather unique. That’s probably what makes Marche stand out from the rest.
So this time round, we suggested a few places to go, either a place to eat or a place for outdoor activity. And it turned out that “Zoo Negara” had the highest votes compared to others. The majority of votes came from those who had not visited the zoo. As for me, I don’t mind going there again. Who knows, I might catch a glimpse of another “animal show” at the tiger section.
Haha…
The entrance fee to the zoo had increased from RM8 to RM15 for adults. That’s a total of RM7 increment! Sigh. Does the increment of the petrol price affect the business of the zoo apart from shipment of the animal food? The only difference I noticed since my last visit to the zoo, here and here, was the implementation of the bar code scanner. Wah, high-tech wey!!!

But what’s the point anyway? Okay, I think the wrist band is necessary but definitely not the bar code on the band. Even Genting’s wrist band doesn’t have bar code for their theme park, do they? Haiyoo! Waste money only.
Since Kevin bought himself a new Canon 30D camera. I got to use his 20D backup camera along with a 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens.

This was my first time using a SLR. Not bad. Love the quality of the pictures that turned out. But it can be pretty heavy for a petite person like me to carry around the whole day. I couldn’t imagine myself photographing a wedding, having to carry a bag of camera equipment. I would probably end up walking like a hermit crab by end of the day and grow a few centimeters shorter. Haha.. Just joking.
As usual, Kevin would try his luck to get a good picture of the tiger, which is his favourite spot in the zoo apart from the ape section. But no luck this time. The tigers were too lazy to pose for the camera. They probably already had their meal.

But this time, I managed to capture something rather interesting which I didn’t see during my previous visits.

The elephant was facing its butt right where I was standing and it started to pee and then poop. Hey, mind your manners! You shouldn’t face your butt at people when doing that.

These 2 elephants so happened to be to posing while facing each other. Love this picture.

The ape on the right seriously needs a grooming. Its fur is all tangled up.

And I found these bright looking mushrooms on a tree trunk. Maybe the zoo could consider growing some interesting plants. Hehe.. ![]()
