Papa John’s Pizza - Better Ingredients, Better Pizza

Yup! Read the tag line! Papa John’s Pizza is definitely one of the better pizza that I’ve tasted so far!

Papa John’s Pizza is relatively new as they launched their very first outlet at Berjaya Times Square on January 8th.

I was doing some shopping at  Berjaya Times Square with Kev. We were there really early and most of the restaurant only opens at 11am. So Papa John’s Pizza was one of the early ones. The restaurant was located on the ground floor, just next to Dome Cafe.

So we ordered their set meal which cost RM26.90, for 2 servings. The set includes a 9” original pizza, 2 glasses of coke and breadsticks. Pretty reasonable, I would say.

The breadsticks is a MUST TRY! The breadsticks was served with tomato puree.

For pizza, we ordered the Chicken Super Papa’s Pizza. I could even recall how hungry I was when we ordered the dish.

Pepperoncini peppers and special garlic dipping sauce was served with every pizza ordered. The sauce was really good too.

Do drop by Papa John’s Pizza if you ever drop by Berjaya Times Square. I’m definitely going back for second round!

Oh yeah, do delivery too! And apparently they are opening their second outlet at IOI Mall at Puchong.

Bondi Beach Grill & Bar @ The Curve

Just less than a month ago, Bondi Beach Grill & Bar was first open at The Curve. Located next to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant.

For those who have been to Australia would probably heard of Australia’s famous beach called Bondi Beach, located at suburb in Sydney.

At the moment, the restaurant is not fully done as they only open on the 15th November 2008. In future, more decorations will be added according to Bondi Beach theme. So make sure you drop by to check it out.

Apart from that, Bondi Beach is the only restaurant at the Curve that has a toilet. Seriously, no joke.

Anyway, if you fancy a nice place to hang out after a busy day at work, Bondi Beach is a place you would want to be. Why is that so? The ambiance is very cozy and there’s Retro Music by DJ Warren V and DJ Soya from 10pm onwards. Not forgetting that they have free WIFI connection.

Enough said about the environment, now let’s move on to the food. Yummy! At Bondi Beach, they serve simple homemade backyard BBQ style dishes. The steak are grilled and their sauces are specially prepared to suit our taste.

Cheese, Chicken, Egg and Flour, Anyone?

Short note:
I have officially gained 2kgs over the past few weeks. I doubt the weight are due to my muscle because I have not been working out lately. Sigh. Gonna lose it after my last submissions. Gonna hit back to the gym and probably cycle more! Else I might end up looking like how I was back in year 2004.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………..

I was at Pizza Hut the other day for lunch after coming down from Genting. Didn’t know Pizza Hut has a new pizza with eggs and chicken toppings. Which reminds me of my favourite McD Big Breakfast.

It’s way over priced just to eat eggs like that and the meat are like just few small tiny slices. =___=” Can’t they come out with better toppings than something like this?

Belated 5th Anniversary

Last Friday, my dearest and I celebrated our belated 5th Anniversary at Victoria Station. The event was three (3) weeks ago but since I was working that weekend, so we decided to postpone it. It’s been many years since both of us last ate at Victoria Station. Mine was ages ago. Victoria Station is known for their beef and lamb steak.

The branch in Ampang has a train-like interior.

This is escargot. I know it’s snail but it is one of my favourite appetizer dish and it is delicious and also pricey too.

I ordered chicken with barbecue source.

While my dearest ordered Sirloin Steak (not sure whether I got it right or not).

We had a wonderful five (5) years together and more to come. Love you, dearest. *Muacks*

Carl’s Jr

If you’re a big fan of Burger King, would you definitely love Carl’s Jr.

There were two branches in Malaysia, one of which was opened in Ampang Point, a shopping mall, subsequently closed in 1998, and another opened near Lake Gardens, which subsequently closed as well. Until 2007, no more locations were opened in Malaysia. Carl’s Jr. had returned to the market in Malaysia by opening a new branch in One-Utama, Petaling Jaya and another branch in Midvalley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Carl’s Jr. also opened another store in Pavillion KL, Kuala Lumpur. - Source

Carl’s Jr. serves their burger in big portion and you get purchase their sandwich at as low as RM7.00++ and their combo set can go up to RM20.00++. You maybe may think it’s a bit pricey for a standard Malaysian meal. Yes, no doubt about it. But at least with that price you pay, you won’t definitely be disappointed. The only problem you face is not able to finish your meal! Which happened to me the other day. LOL.

Their burgers were big and it did get messy.

Even their large drinks were huge. But the best part it, it’s refillable. Isn’t it fantastic?

Steamboat At Serdang

One week ago, just before everyone self declare holidays for the festive season, my classmates and I had steamboat at Stone BBQ King, Serdang. Initially we were supposed to eat at another restaurant but it turn out to be full booked. So we go for the second alternative. Believe it or not, Stone BBQ King was totally empty and we were the only customer there. In fact, a large crowd, about 20 of us. Well, at least we did them a favour to finish some food so that they can restock it for the next day. Hmmm… Now I wonder whether are their food 100% fresh? Few friends actually told me that the food didn’t taste as fresh, especially the meat. Anyway…

Food, food, and more food. Notice the coloured drink, my friend actually thinks the green one was sugarcane. LOL. And guess what’s the item on the 6th pic? It’s actually butter. I’m totally serious! Hahah.. Don’t you think it looks like cup cakes?

We had 4 tables all together. Everyone is warming up, getting ready to cook. Yum, yum…

These 2 gentlemen was our chef for the day. How lucky we girls usually get served more than guys do.

Overall, I would rate the food and facilities as below average. Not recommended unless you have no where else to eat. Haha…

Reward For Winning First Assignment

After winning the first round of the Microsoft Apprentice Program, as a reward, Vico brought us to Madam Kwan’s at KLCC for lunch. They serve mainly Malaysian Cuisine. The place were nice and the price per dishes were pretty reasonable for their standard.

Over lunch, we had time to get to know Vico a little bit more as well as the duty of a Microsoft Ambassadors.

Dinner At Italiannies

Two (2) weeks ago, I went to Italiannies at 1-Utama for dinner with my dearest and his grandpa. I’ve been dying to go there ever since I read reviews about it, besides I’m also a great fan of Italian food.

The overall environment of the restaurant was pretty impressive. It classy and warm look are suitable for both families and special occasions. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly too.

We ordered cabonara, lasagna and lamb steak. The cabonara was good but lasagna was so-so.

The lasagna was pretty hard that I was having problem slicing it. Didn’t really like it though. I prefer it to be soft and warm like the one at Secret Recipe.

Dearest’s grandpa ordered a medium lamb steak but was too tough for him. One of their waiters was kind enough to help get it well-done.

Overall was okay. I didn’t have the chance to try their deserts because I was bloated after two (2) dishes. The next time, I will drop by for their deserts.

I’m On The Menu

One and a half year ago, Joshua and I had a shoot with Flamin’ J, Hartamas Shopping Center.

Two weeks ago, I dropped by Flamin’ J after my last visit which is about a year ago, for their appetizing nacho cheese. There were lots of changes from the interior to the menu. To my surprise, I saw myself on the back of their menu. It says “Challenge the Python”. Obviously the model is not included.

Then, there was a picture of Joshua on the entrance menu.
