On Valentine’s Day…

… I went clubbing with my friends at Zouk! Yup, you got that right! I went clubbing with my friends on Valentine’s Day.

I envy those who celebrated Valentine’s Day with their other half. But then, I don’t see the point of paying extra on gifts, meals, flowers on Valentine’s Day when you can get them cheaper on any other day. *Celine anti-Valentine’s Day.*

Also, I don’t see the point of spending money on flowers when you can’t even keep them! I’m not saying that I don’t like them. I do! But I don’t see the point of keeping something that will not last. Well, what about chocolates, you’d probably ask? Haha… At least I get to eat it! LOL.

Just before we go to Zouk, we were at KLCC doing some shopping. *wink* And then headed to Starbucks for some coffee while waiting for time to pass.

We entered Zouk pretty early that day because we had nothing else to do. Entrance was free for ladies before midnight while guys had to pay RM35. It was my first time entering Zouk and it turned out to be less fancy as I thought it was. But it was alright.

Meet DJ Retangle on the right.

This is Ammar, who invited us to Zouk. He’ll be leaving Malaysian by the end of the month. Well, we’ll be missing you. Wish you all the best in your future undertaking.

Nic’s Birthday!

Three (3) weeks ago, we celebrated Nic’s birthday at Scarlet, Cineleisure. Another January kid like me.

By the time we left Scarlet, most of us are rather drunk or tipsy, including me. For those who know me, I can’t drink very well.

At the end of the day, Nic was really drunk. He couldn’t even remember how he drove over to the park. Probably with his eyes closed? Haha..

Anyway, this post is overdue. So, Happy Belated Birthday, Nic!

Would You Be My Valentine?

NOT!

Happy Valentine’s Day for those who are celebrating.

Man, I never like Valentine’s day.

What Happened On My Birthday

About two (2) weeks ago, I was working with YOUTH’08 at Cineleisure promoting the event at their registration and information counter. YOUTH’08 Media Preview & Sponsorship Presentation happened to fall on the 15th of January, which is on my birthday and my boss didn’t warn me anything about wearing an Anime outfit till I arrived early for the rehearsal.

The outfit was made by one of the designers who entered last year’s Animax Fashion Ability competition. When I saw the outfit, I wasn’t excited at all. It was one of the outfits that I didn’t fancy at the show. Boss, how could you do this to me?!?!

My boss didn’t know that that day was my birthday till I mentioned “So I guess this gonna be my birthday suit, eh?”. LOL. Well, thanks boss. On that day, I wasn’t prepared and came in my usual shoes and I had to borrow hills from colleagues which didn’t really fit. Haha…

And William, who came all the way from Kajang to Cineleisure to see me, gave me a muffin for birthday. Thank you so much!

I actually added the candles and took the pics myself. LOL. Haha…

Later that night, Alex and my other colleagues celebrated my birthday after work at Secret Recipe.

And not forgetting those who send me greetings through smses and sang me birthday songs over the phone. Thank you all so much.

PS: My boss asked me why did I work on my birthday and I told him “Work is work. Doesn’t mean you don’t have to work on your birthday“.

Belated 5th Anniversary

Last Friday, my dearest and I celebrated our belated 5th Anniversary at Victoria Station. The event was three (3) weeks ago but since I was working that weekend, so we decided to postpone it. It’s been many years since both of us last ate at Victoria Station. Mine was ages ago. Victoria Station is known for their beef and lamb steak.

The branch in Ampang has a train-like interior.

This is escargot. I know it’s snail but it is one of my favourite appetizer dish and it is delicious and also pricey too.

I ordered chicken with barbecue source.

While my dearest ordered Sirloin Steak (not sure whether I got it right or not).

We had a wonderful five (5) years together and more to come. Love you, dearest. *Muacks*

On Valentine’s Day…

… I went to college alone, I had dinner alone, and I spend my evening with my sewing machine until late night trying to get my 7 piece skirt done. I’m totally serious!

I was supposed to meet up with a friend of mine whom had left New Zealand on Friday that week. I practically called him the day before to make an appointment, but he kind of forgotten about it and ended up making plans with his other friends. Our meeting wasn’t supposed to be a Valentine’s Date. Neither do I have one. It doesn’t matter anyway.

Anyway, I did receive something from my mum and my dearest on this special day. Not really on Valentine’s Day. I got it few days earlier actually. Thank you lots!

Don’t you think the box look fabulous? Mind you, it’s not an empty box.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this particular perfume for a very long time. Just that I didn’t see the need to get one since I already have a perfume and getting another bottle isn’t cheap. You know how one bottle may cost, especially the good one. My dearest bought from the duty free shop while he was at Langkawi.

These are from Langkawi too.

On My 21st Birthday…

People usually say that the 16th and 21st birthday are both very important dates in our life and therefore there is a reason to celebrate it. I used to think that birthday are very important occasions because when I was young, I never fail to have one birthday cake each year. Almost…

But as I grew older, birthdays felt less significance in it. So it had become just another ordinary day to me. And because my birthday fall in early January, that’s the time when school usually reopen and hardly anyone knows you yet. By the time you made friends, your friend will have to wait for your next birthday which is another year to come.

Well, I did celebrate my sweet 16 birthday. It was a memorable one.

On my 21st birthday, I didn’t expect much from my friends or anyone. I really thought no one would remember it. But then…

… a friend that I got to know for less than a month wished me at 12am and also gave me a present. It was really sweet of him. He even took me out for a game of pool and later we had dinner.

… my mum bought me a birthday cake and we celebrated at home with my family. I also received an “ang pau” from her.

… my younger brother gave me an “ang pau” as well. But coming from my younger brother, I didn’t expect him to be that generous. Love you bro!
… my dearest dropped by after work to celebrate my birthday with my family. He has always been the sweetest thing and the best gift I can ever have.

… my friends called to wish me and some send me birthday wished through SMS, Friendster and messenger.

I really appreciate for all who remembered my birthday. Thank you. You guys made my day. *Hugz*

Celebrated Grandma’s 80th Birthday

On the 26th Dec, we celebrated grandma’s 80th birthday at a restaurant in Malacca. It was the day after Christmas and I had classes on the following day. Mum and brothers drove down the day before while dad and I only went down in the evening itself. We had a small reunion dinner to celebrate grandma’s birthday and also to catch up with each other. Usually the only time where everyone meets is during Chinese New Year.
